The Oscar-winning movie Flow shares its name with Personal’s streaming platform, Flow
As often happens when a movie becomes a hit, people start looking for pirated versions on Google. We noticed hundreds of unusual searches for “Flow,” so we seized the opportunity.
Solution
Anticipating that behavior, we took advantage of the fact that we not only share a name with the movie, but we’re also a platform where people can stream hundreds of movies and series.
So, we redirected our entire budget into a strong search strategy. We rewrote our ads so that every time someone searched for the cat movie, they’d instead find a special promo on our own Flow platform.
